It might only be a forum, but people can form bonds on here. And like it or not, oftentimes the site is negative. And the fact that people get so defensive when that is pointed out says it all.

I'm with flirtyanddirty with this. I dont really post much, but I do enjoy reading the posts. I certainly enjoyed savage_beagles posts.

And yes I do care. Care because I really did like his thoughtful posts and care because he is a human being too.

Is it so wrong to want to annouce that you are leaving the site? To want to garner some sympathy and respect for being a part of the board for several months? We are social phobes after all and under it all, I bet the majority of us would want to leave that way too. Most people dont because they are afraid that it will all fall flat and realize that even here (perhaps like life) people dont care.

Sure he left with a negative note. Most people dont leave a messageboard abruptly because they feel great about it. Sometimes the best way to avoid any pain of thinking no one cares is to go out with some kind of negative respsone or insult. That way you cant lose either way and you cant feel the pain. And he does have a point, the most obvious being this thread.
