hello everyone
Ive recently tried antiperspirants like odaban and drysol with minimal relief. Im trying to convince my parents to get me robinul. One thing im worried about is the things ive read about it wearing off and losing effectivness over the years? Does this happen to everyone? If so, how long does it take to lose effectivness , and is it possible to stop the use of it after your body has gotten used to it, then restart later on and have it work again?

regards

Like all other HH options, glycopyrrolate (Robinul or Avert are brand names) works differently for each person.

I've taken it for years (I think 4), and it's still effective. I take different amounts depending on the temperature and my own level of activity, but it's never stopped working.

I tried Robinul for about two months over the summer. It worked fine the first couple weeks, then I had to up my daily dosage from 3mg to 6mg to see results. I developed a cough, so I stopped taking it. I didn't have a problem with dry mouth as long as I drank plenty of fluids. I might not be the typical user, so I recommend people to at least try it.

Since it's unlicensed here in the uk what do you do with regards to seeing a doctor? I'm prepared to pay for it myself but do I go to the dr and say "I know it's unlicensed but i'm gonna take it anyway" and get advice on it or do I just take matters into my own hands so to speak? I mean I'm yet to find a dr that will even take my condition seriously let alone one I think would give his blessing to "some pill I got off the internet". Has anyone had any experience in this regard?

I honestly didn't think it was a pill that warranted a doctor's supervision. I haven't heard of any really harmful side-effects. Just things like dry mouth and maybe the slow urination thing. But I'd definitely talk it over with a doc if you're already taking meds for other things to make sure it's safe to mix them.

Uber Schnitzel;

Same here, I've asked various docs about getting the med via the regular health channels (Netherlands) but none of them was willing to stick his/her neck out, eventhough some of them agreed it was potentially better than oxybutynin or trihexyfenidyl which they WERE willing to prescribe me...

Now I'm looking at ordering online, pharmacy.ca seems to be the way to go but (without wanting to claim anyone's claims on here is false, but keeping it real; concerns for my health trump my willingness to blindly believe in the sincerity of others on a forum, in this world, I think that's a healthy thing) you still got to wonder with common sense, why is it so much cheaper than other places, do I get the right stuff, is this one of those Chinese front companies you hear about, if yes would it be a danger to my health?

It just sucks I can't get it through regular channels, forcing me to take a unquantifiable risk with this...

when you say it worked fine..do you mean you were completely dry, or what?
and when you upped your dosage, were you experiencing regular dryness?
