Robinul in the UK

I would say that's right by reading various posts. It's also not available in Australia, thought I'm going to my GP to discuss that.

Pharmacy.ca looks your best bet. You will have to order online.

Welcome to pharmacy.ca

Just click 'excessive sweating' on the top left and then 'oral 'antiperspirant'.

I know, a bit dodgy ordering medication online, but from what I've heard they are safe and reputable.

It's not really available in Canada anymore but it's used as a topical so I found a compounding pharmancy that put it into capsules. I don't know why it's so difficult to find considering how well it works. The doctors in the UK are pretty good, try asking if they can find a source for the medication and they may be able to get it like mine did.

Which locale is your hh located? I wouldn't count on drugs for changing my life, since in the long term you'll want your hh back instead of all these annoying side effects that keep stacking on and on. If you have palmar/plantar, I HIGHLY suggest ionto. NOTHING worked for me proper except ionto, and that's why I highly believe it's the absolute best mode of treatment for palmar/plantar hh, and maybe axillae if you use the sponge nodes (never tried it, even though I have overall hh; however, when I do treatments on my hands and they stop sweating, sweating everywhere else decreases).

I haven't noticed much in the way of side effects, I'm seeing a specialist though to see if the sweating is being caused by a hormone imbalance as I know that can do it.

I ordered Avert from pharmacy.ca and in 10 days I received the package. Really fast!

They ask you a lot of questions about your sweating and general health.

So, if you don't find it in UK, there's no reason to be desperate.

Hi. As far as I know, it's not available from doctors as it is not licensed here. However, you can order it online from pharmacy.ca.

I live in London, ordered mine and it arrived in just over a week. First time you order you will have to wait for them to email you with some questions, but then after that you can order whenever you want.

It's called Avert, not Robinul on the pharmacy.ca site, as Robinul is the American brand name. The actual medication is called glycopyrollate.

I wouldn't want to get your hopes up, as anecdotally it seems to have varying effectiveness for different people, but speaking for myself, it's completely changed my life. I have my confidence back. I hope it works for you.

If you have any questions about it, such as what strength you should get etc, just yell.

There are other medications, although I have heard that robinul can be prescribed in the uk by a dermatologist, although since they have to order it specially they generally like to try other things first.

I've just started on propantheline bromide (pro-banthine) which I have been taking for a day and seems to reduce sweating a little. I'm on 15mg three times a day. (it has a short half life)

I'd recommend ionto with glycopyrollate (robinul). You can get it done on NHS by being referred to dermatology (I go once a week generally for a 20min session and it works pretty well for hands/feet). Has less effects elsewhere in the body than taking it in tablet form. Only side effect I have experienced this way is the dry mouth.
