My career goal since a young age was to become a journalist. After education at various levels achieving to complete this goal and not succeeding, I realised my personality (not assertive, confident, out-going) was not conducive to this so I gave up and decided to get jobs that paid the bills.
I’ve been reading books since 2006 (why I didn’t read it before then I don’t know) on a variety of topics but even reading books or newspapers, I tend to find that I forget about them. I don’t know how everyone else’s memory works but I’d like to think that when people read a book that they are able to remember the story or specific points.
I don’t seem to hence why I make notes of books I’ve read to aid incase I have a debate with someone online and am able to draw on points, but primarily because my memory seems to be awful!
