Question about this site's founder

Thanks to SA and depression I am finally working hard thinking of ways to support myself completely and I'm already almost thirty years old. I imagine people who don't know what I've been through would judge me...they can go back to their corporate cages like the trained monkeys that they are.

So I'm interested in unorthodox ways of making money, because, like alot of people, I'm unemployed. I've read about creating websites and profiting off of them and other ways of making money online... so here's my question...

Does the creator of this site make much money from socialphobiaworld.com or does he/she have another full time job and this is just a project or hobby that provides extra cash?

There's probably a bit of money to be made in websites like these, but it needs to be a popular site. A site like this would make a bit of money, but it's still a reasonably small site compared to other sites on the internet. I doubt that you could live off the profit from this alone. If you have a good idea for a site, it is probably worthwhile pursuing, but like any other site, you need to be able to market your site to convince people to come and return to the site on multiple occasions. There are a lot of new forums and few end up becoming hugely popular. Most struggle to get numbers and then the owner gets tired of paying to keep it online.

Find what you're interested in..

Maybe you like making violins or something. So make a site selling violin making supplies. Make a forum for people to discuss making violins.

Starting a business on the internet could start by selling stuff on craigslist or ebay.
