Why are people so rude?
Just went out for a nice meal with my parents... we were walking there and some drunk student boys were walking past us in the opposite direction. They were clutching beer and talking loudly, they were clearly drunk, they looked at me and my parents and one of them starting shouting at us "F*** you, f*** you!"
I hate it when people try and act all big just because they're drunk.
I also thought all kinds of other things about said person, but they would probably make me appear judgmental. Which I am in this instance I guess.
But still... grrrr.
Say it, you didn't kick their drunk asses because your parents were there ;)
And judge as much as you can, someone who are so surly and impolite can't demand a better treatment :p
Man, at that rate I would totally understand why some just get rid of their TV all together. It would almost be better to just buy/rent the desired shows on DVD or something.

Advertising to stay afloat is one thing, 20 minute commercial breaks is just being greedy. :/
It's not always like this, though. Usually they are more like 3-8 minutes, more or less what you said, but in prime time (usually during movies) and during The Simpsons at noon they usually put longer breaks.

I don't know why, but I think Murphy's having an affair on you with me. Or maybe he's sharing us. In any case. things are starting to go downhill for me and this is going to become a true test of patience for me. Unfortunately, my brain is having a shortage of patience at the moment.
I don't want to be involved in affairs.... you can keep Mr.Murphy all for yourself ::p:

Seriously, I hope things start going better soon =)

If you're running out of patience you can try to take a break and do something you like to clear your mind... or spend 20 minutes straight watching adverts on TV :D

Well, I think he was young and foolish, and perhaps if he cut out the drink he wouldn't lash out at strangers.
Dude needs some ketchup to go with that chip on his shoulder.

I just cannot put up with rudeness. I wouldn't have had the guts to say anything back, but I don't like people shouting obscenities at anyone, particularly not my parents.
I'm young and foolish and the times I've been drunk, when I was younger and more foolish, I've never been rude. Maybe being drunk just means they can't hide how rude they are :p

Anyway I wouldn't say anything to them either, I actually feel pity for drunk people, for some reason.

Guess what, I'm a sad-type drunk
Now I never drink, though.

I found it hard to fall asleep. Having a lot of anxiety about upcoming doctor appointment. Work is forcing me to see the jerk doctor again and now with a nurse case manager. Two probable jerks to deal with who probably won't listen to me and I will panic and not speak up. -_-
As much as you're not looking forward to it, I hope that goes well. Seeing doctors is not desirable at the best of times, and I dislike it, too (those waiting rooms!). Good luck!

This is why I'm really off drinking - the stupid behaviour. I know I act silly when I drunk (not swearing and cursing to strangers, but just general drunken goofiness), and I don't like it anymore. Unfortunately, my mates all still like to drink so I have to fit in. I'm sorry that happened to you, twiggle, but at least they didn't try to fight any of you.

One of the reasons why I can't stand drinking anymore is because of that.
I remember especially someone who was under the influence of drugs for bodybuilders and when he got drunk he started to fight with everyone (including me), making scaring noises like a wild animal or something and he obviously end up in the hospital without remembering anything. I know it's more drug than drinking related, but I think that everything is a good excuse not to drink, right? :p

Did you used to fight people when drunk? I guess when that starts happening it's a good idea not to drink anymore. You never know what could happen.

Yeah, the influence of drugs isn't good in the wrong hands, either. Have you spoken to your friend about his actions when high? I can't imagine it'll stop him from doing any of that, but at least he'll be aware of how immature he is, if nothing else. I have never done any drugs (not even weed), and I have no desire to. I have a mate who's big on weed but has also dabbled in other drugs like LSD. I don't like it when he drinks because he gets too emotional and almost always vomits. Which I do, too, and another reason why drinking is getting lame. :)

My roommates' favorite word is "dude".......
I used to know someone who would always say "you know what I mean?" at the end of every other sentence. It didn't drive me crazy but it was an idiosyncrasy I noticed.

A co-worker says "yeah?" after every other sentence he says now.

Does your roommate's "dude" all the time annoy you?

No no no I didnt fight, I meant he tried to fight to everyone, but actually no one fought with him, it was quite... pathetic. More like someone who was trying to tackle everything before him. And I never fight (I never have to :p).

And I didn't have to talk to him, he wasn't even my friend. It was a party at the beach for all the class before we all separated and went to uni. Anyway he apologized to everyone via email the next day, I think some other people went to talk to him about it.

I never tried drugs and I never will. Actually, I had problems in the past when I discovered someone was a drug dealer... he was investigated by the police, but never went to jail or something, but I think he didn't know about me, as he never came to me after all that. It was kind of scary, dangerous people o.0

At least the guy apologised but he probably shouldn't let himself get to that stage in the first place, I suppose. The fact that he's not even a friend made it easier for you, too, I would assume. :)

Good on you for never trying drugs. My mate who's into drugs is experiencing depression, sleeplessness, and all kinds of other side-effects. He's still young and relatively normal, but if he continues down that path he's going to get burnt. And for yourself, you don't want to get investigated by the cops like that person you know being a drug dealer. Not worth it!

Yeah, it was easier for me, and actually I always found that guy quite annoying XD

I'm sorry to hear about your mate. I know it's hard to see how someone is being literally destroyed by drugs, I've been there more than once, and not always with a good ending... All I can say is: take care of your friend because, though I don't know how bad is the addiction, probably he won't take care of himself.

And don't worry, I wasn't investigated, I wasn't directly related to the guy, only someone who wanted to help society :p. And it wasn't the only time I tried to do something similar, but one time it was too big o.0 Luckily they all went to jail and never heard about me for sure (I'm not so sure about the drug dealer, but I guess he doesn't) beacuse then I could be in real trouble, a drug dealer was nothing compared to those guys.... Anyway I won't do it again, I think I will try to help those who need it instead than punish the bad guys lol

Wow, yeah, if they had heard about you, you'd be in some serious strife! Very lucky, but I like your idea of helping good people instead of punishing bad people. :D

He's not exactly being destroyed by drugs, but he's the kind of guy who shouldn't be taking them. Honestly, he is more qualified to be on this forum than I am - he's on anti-depressants and can't find any enjoyment with life (possibly why he takes drugs). He's a good kid, though. I got him a job and his mother actually called me and thanked me for it, as it has made a massive difference now that he has a job and is earning a little bit of his own money. I spoke to my friend about it, as well, and he's enjoying it. I'm glad I can help him and I told him I'll always be around if he needs anything. Feels good to help him out. :)
