Positive things that you did last week: July 16-21

I think each week, I'm going to create a thread about what people did positive in their last week.
Concentrating ONLY on negative thought will make you forget your successes and will only draw you into a vicious circle.

So hence my thread: I noticed that we don't really focus on the positive side of ourselves and ... the positive side of life!

So come one! Let's write our successes!

Even the little thing such as having the courage to go to the shopping mall is significant!
EVERY little positive thing, even the smallest thing is good!

So let's write about our last week successes!

Last week I went back to the doctor! She gave me some benzos and they make me less anxious. I also made a vow last week not to abuse the pills, but I haven't stuck to that at all...

You see the pills allow me to be more social but the friends I have are all into recreational drug use. Before I knew it I'm a week and a half into my prescription and I only have 15 pills left.

This positive post has turned negative fast...

My Bad...

Peace

Hey, me too. It's just a holiday job. I work in a factory, it's not very much fun, but the people there are nice and it feels good to work.

Mine is sort of like voluntary work, but we still get some money out of it. It was tough going through the lectures and "how tos", which took like 8 years on the first day alone, along with having lunch with strangers at the fire department (the job is related to them), but I pulled through. I had to dodge my way out of a few oncoming panic attacks (of sorts), but I succeeded, and now there's only a few days left before I get my paycheck. I also worked with a friend for a day carrying things and so forth, which we are also getting some money for.

And yes, I agree, it does feel good to be able to say "I'm late for work" or "I just came home from work or "I have to go to work, see you later".

Nice! How's the experience? Because I'm currently trying to find a job after I finish summer school.

A bit hard anxiety-wise, but like I said, I'm pulling through step by step. Love helps-- a lot.

Good luck on your job.

Firstly, a 'well done' to Sacrament & Tryin for working.

Okay, so I managed to get out of the house to go to Best Buy earlier this evening... Once there, I was able to interact and talk with 4 people--demonstrating reasonable composure and equilibrium.

Hopefully said activities aren't considered invalid for not occurring within the thread topic frame of time.

I actually went somewhere outside... upstate to climb rocks for the first time.. and I'm planning to volunteer at a soup kitchen this weekend... by the way... silent type... which online school do you go to?... what is working as a medical transcriptionalist like? I'm trying to find a legitimate online school... but I kept coming across scam schools... (like penn foster)

Hmm.. let's see, wk 16-22 July.

I've had a relatively packed month. Well, not exactly packed, but I've had more major activities this month than any past few months.

On that particular week, I stayed at my little cousin's for the weekend so I could go with her to watch the concert she performed in on the 22th. It was an eventful weekend filled with breakfasts with family, the concert and all. Oh, and there was a book fair I went to that week. I love big book fairs but they don't happen all the time here. After the book fair, I explored town alone, went to the malls, and realised how much they have changed since I last went. New shops added, construction done on the interiors, so I'm glad I went. That's all I can remember for now.

Btw, congratulations to Sacrament and Tryin for holding down a job, it isn't an easy task. Good Luck!
