I wanted to post a reply to you but I am not an expert in what you ask. I too, when sweating profusely in hot conditions when walking or running, can suddenly become dry. I have always thought that i must have sweated out all the fluids thaty are readily available and at that time it must actually become quite dangerous.

What i would say is go and see your doctor and explain the condition and how you work before making a decision. It would be life changing to choose another trade/skill, but perhaps that is what you must do to keep healthy. Don't put it off and don't be embarrassed, just go and see him and tell it like it is. Then whatever decision you make can be helped by the people on here who know exactly what you are going through.
