hey there

Well the good news is youre not crazy. Almost everyone on this site can attest to those feelings, and theres ways you can be helped. I would definitely reccomend reading up on social anxiety/ generalized anxiety. It will help you understand what exactly it is, and what the symptoms are. From what you said, it sounds like you may have it. But youre the best judge. So if you do find you have SA, the books will also help you understand WHY you have it, and this is very key in recovering. You must fully understand why you have it to do anything about it.

Going to a therapist isnt necessary, but if you feel like they would be of help to you dont hesitate. Dont let the stigma of anxiety keep you back. What do you have to loose except fear and anxiety?

Google searches help too. Heres a good website to go to:

www.stresscenter.com Hope this helps and best of luck to you :)

It hard to say from your post if you have sa or not but it sounds like it.First like other people have said read up on it on the internet and try to understand how it works. Then I think you should think about what has been going on in your life in the near past that could have trigger the anxiety. Also I think you should hang here reading post from other people about there own experiences with sa.Then you can decide what you want to do about it.Good luck :)

Ruffneck,

These feelings are normal in all people from time to time, however, if this feeling persists, go see a doctor, who will help you establish what to do and what help you need. You may be stressed from work or life, you may have depression, you may just need a break to evaluate your life. You may have a virus running you down.

If this doesnt work, try keeping a diary of how you feel and when, this can sometimes help you identify and pinpoint what is making you feel this way. The very fact that you came here means you seek to understand, you want to talk, you know there is something not quite right.

Anyway, i hope things get better for you.

Jack
