Need for Validation

I'm unable to overcome my need for validation in everything I do.

I have spoken to counselor's, read self-help books, browsed various websites, tried positive affirmations, CBT, ' fake it 'til you make it' techniques, looked into Buddhism, prayed; nothing has worked.

I no longer believe the problem is mine alone. I think it's society in general.

Everywhere I look, there is the relentless scratching and clawing for status, wealth, superiority in all things.

Someone has this posted as their personal quote:

It's no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.
Jiddu Krishnamurti

I have seen this quote before, and I think it is very accurate. I think sensitive, inquisitive people know something is wrong, and we investigate.

People with less desire to understand, simply follow the rules without question, and don't become socially anxious.

I think we are afraid first and then question around to put it in perspective. If we were happy and confident, we wouldn't be having these questions.
