My Stupid Manager

Scrubs references in the title aside, I'm having some very, very irritating issues right now. It's this somewhat bimbodic manager I have to work with. I asked her today if I could move over to the General Merchandise side of the store, and she said I was at the "top of the list" but didn't really help me out. When I've asked to leave early, she's said I could then I approach her about it and she says no, but she'll let other people do this without question.

Things is, a long time ago she said she had liked me, not knowing how she meant it, I didn't act or do anything. Is this her lingering resentment towards me? Or does just plain hate me for some reason I'm not seeing? I heard someone say something when I was in an aisle "she doesn't care about him, we'll try to move you (to another department.)" Like I was being slighted.

Maybe they just see me as the doormat, I don't know. I'm so mad I could punch something, I hate being taken advantage of.

i'm sorry you're having such a hard time with your manager... she sounds like most bosses out there. they're nice to your face and stab you in the back. my boss was like that. she's a big reason why i had to quit last dec and haven't worked since. from a girl's perspective, i guess it's possible she's treating you this way b/c you didn't do/say anything when she said she liked you, but that doesn't give her the right to do this stuff to you either. if this is her reason for this crap then she's pretty childish and obviously can't be objective so she shouldn't be in the position she's in.

i'm not really one to give advice, but seriously, if you can quit your job and get another, you should. that, or stand up for yourself. don't let yourself be used and taken advantage of. i did all these things wrong at my job (i was a daycare teacher) and it led me to have a breakdown, lovely way to spend the holidays.
