My story of anxiety......

I will tell you what has helped me alot and its really simple, but its worked for me.

Buy a notepad or use a notepad app on your phone, whatever you like.

try the things that you fear out 3 times a week. like riding the bike then write down your experience afterwards, how you felt, the scenery, did it inspire you and log down for instance, bicycle ride 1: result...words...words: bicycle ride 2: result ......etc. Make a promise to yourself that you'll do it and that you won't back away from it. Be resolute.

Simple as that. Doesnt matter if the bike riding experience is a bad one or a good one, when you write it down it becomes a narrative or a story just like if you read a book and something fearful is happening or something cheerful is happening its still a story but most importantly, good or bad it means you are being active in riding a bike or doing whatever it is you want to improve. If the experience is bad or negative it isnt a failure, its just a result and you may surprise yourself with how your perception of the world may change, you'll probably start thinking "what was i worrying about".

To give you an idea of the amount of effort involved in improving in say....conversations....its not as simple as just talking to people, that only helps with getting over the fear of interacting at its root level. You also have to improve your general knowledge by reading, news, novels and learn new words. so your mind stays active enough to stimulate and switch on during a conversation. Alot of people feel they are too boring but that can be improved with just a little effort. Next time you watch a film, really pay attention and stay in the moment, try not to be distracted by your outside environment and take in everything the film throws at you, the characters, the dialogue, the atmosphere, everything and then make it a symbolic event of 1 hour 45 minutes etc, however long the film is, give it some emotional importance, that way you'll remember the film for a long time. there are all these tricks that can help people improve memory and knowledge but alot of the time we just go through the motions instead.

So hope, worry, guilt, never works. The only thing that helps people progress it by practicing actions every day or at least frequently. good luck.

Hey Rahul, welcome to the forum. I'm really sorry to hear what you're going though. Maybe setting some goals and working on them one by one can help? Try taking baby steps. I hope things get better.

Hey, happy birthday!

I know what you mean by being very skinny or "twig" like. That was/is probably my biggest insecurity and I had/have trouble talking to people because of it. I started working out last month or so and eating heavy with mass gain protein shakes and went from about 110 lbs to 117 lbs in just about a month. I can't notice it myself yet, but people close to me have been showering me with compliments on how much bigger I look in such a short amount of time.

Before, I used to be afraid to even look at my face in the mirror, but now I can do it with my shirt off to see the gains I'm getting and it helps raise my self-esteem. Now I find it slightly easier to talk to people. It's also something good to do if you're bored and can give you a sense of purpose/accomplishment in life. You seem like a smart person and all you need is a little push to get you on your feet. Well that's my 2 cents. Good luck.

Hi I am from the country just below India,

I am a Human You are a Human we all are Human so don't worry be happy, God created human in different forms black/white, strong/weak, tall/short and so on, but for god we all are the same, so be thankful to him for fulfilling most of our needs and wants. For an example think of Africa......see how people are suffering there. I am also suffering from this social problem but there are some ways which you can reduce it.

You walk on the road where there are lot of people, you may feel that they are looking at you in a different way......and you suddenly get red. Actually they aren't looking at you, this is a feeling that comes to you. The main reason for this is the computer.
The longer you stay the weaker you get. This is not a lie this is reality because I have experienced this.
When you get anxious or nervous just think of a joke
If you feel a person or people are looking at you don't be anxious you just think like this- A Big stone or something comes and falls on their head and they die, and they are gone forever and you are free.
