My life could be worse

I live in NJ, USA and we have a way to look up alot of information on the internet about our state's public records. I was on this site the other day and I clicked the link to look up state prison inmates. I remember from high school a group of students I knew who robbed a gun shop and beat the clerk. This happened only a few months before graduation in June, 2001.
So i look up all the names. One was released in 2006. Another one was released in 2007 but just recently was put back in for parole violations and now will not get out until September, 2012. The last is still in custody and was since August of 2001. He will get out in September of this year.
It's not that I feel like a better person than these people, but I think back on everyday I since I graduated and during any of those events, these three guys were in jail. 2 of them are in jail as i write this. My life could be worse.

I'm not saying they did not deserve it. I am saying that looking back at all the crap I've gone thru since high school, It could have been worse.

I know what you mean Philly. Even as frustrating as our lives with anxiety can be we still have our freedom. I've known some people over the years who have totally ruined their life by making criminal decisions. At least most of us on this forum can work to better our lives instead of making it worse. Hopefully anyone considering something criminal will think of the consequences before acting.
