I also get anxiety first thing when I wake up...all the thoughts come rushing in. Going for jog is a great way to start the day...Also, I quit drinking a cup of coffee when I first wake up. Get a good breakfast (not sugar) eggs, bacon, milk, etc...then I drink exactly one HALF a cup of small coffee.Save the rest for after lunch if you normally drink another whole coffee in the afternoon.
Another morning tip- say a prayer when you first wake up thanking the unviverse for 5 or 6 things...your nice girlfriend, or bed, or dog, or that you have a job or food...it gets my mind into a good place- fight off the monkeys!
