Please check this site out that I found when I googled the words: "Mindfulness" and "Anxiety".
Website: http://www.mindfulrecovery.com

It was started by Caesar Bujosa who is himself recovered from Social Anxiety. He has put together information about anxiety as well as questionnaires and step-by-step treatment.

He has also made it all free.
:D

I'm adding to this thread so as to bring it up more to the top.
I think that people should give this at least a look.
I'm fairly impressed by how easy to follow, free and available, and helpful specifically for social anxiety this program is.

SO, if you haven't checked this site out- http://www.mindfulrecovery.com
...please do!

...At least so that I can have someone to discuss the program with.

And if it is too long at first (although it really isn't long at all) then go straight to the "Therapy" section -it gets straight to business and there isn't a lot to read.

Has anyone read though the "Treatment" section yet?

It would be good if someone did. Then I could discuss this with them. And even go through the treatment process step by step discussing how things are going with someone else who was also doing the treatment, maybe...?

Hi,
You're probably not there anymore, but

I found Cesar on Youtube. He mentions his website but I only went there after seeing your post here.

I have been practising mindfulness on and off for a few years, and have been trying to identify exactly what my personal problems were, and he hit the nail right on the head with his descriptions of social anxiety and defectiveness.
For the first time I could truly say, "That's me!"
Then he connected it directly with how mindfulness practice can solve the problem.
I had been suspecting that this is how it works but I wasn't sure I was going the right way. It is also brings closer to home some of the aims behind the teachings in the Zen Buddhist and Yoga philosophies.
