Does anyone have this feeling?
It is absolutely new to me. Some reverse engineering out of the blue
Warm and astounding day in town today
Starting with a new haircut. People playing music in the high street. Salvation Army brassnecks. Guitar and double-bass down the road - the only ones with amps. A parade of drums louder than I've heard.
Is it me who's uncomfortable with strangers, or them who think I'm weird?
Every day's different
Maybe it's sun & smiles that do it. I get a lot of smiles & winks from random strangers. Round the block, bumped into the main haircutter shop owner, just outside his new ladies' hair shop. I'm naturally a bit nervous having hair cut. I tend to feel really sleepy and turn off. I feel like a superstar after a cut.
It's a good day to pop into shops to look at clothes, ask about getting my bike fixed, and ask about new lenses for a camera... I tend to avoid salespeople when they approach me.
Standing next to the shop owner; we ain't close friends, but we meet about every two weeks. Maybe he needs a break outside, smoking - away from staff, or customers? I'm there, struggling to come up with a conversational topic. I don't want to turn my back and walk away; maybe that's what he'd like? His 3 options - stay outside by himself, back in shop, or keep talking with me?
One thing - he asks me if I smoke. Is that a valid topic, or a bit trivial?
I'm now off for a gym session to keep my day on track
