I feel privileged in every way, except I am so unbelievably lonely, I feel everyone I know should understand this... But they don't, they're happy. They're happy and it frustrates me. Is this selfish? Maybe. I just want a lovely person to sweep me off my feet and understand me, is that too much to understand, after all I've lived through, is it too much?

To get someone to sweep you off your feet, you have to put yourself out there. Hiding away and waiting for someone to magically appear isn't going to work.
Go out with your friends more often. That's the best way to establish connections with others. You never know what's around the corner.
