Try ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy). In ACT we kill ourselves everyday. That is: we kill our self-image everyday. Everyday we have to realize that we aren't what our thoughts say we are. Our thoughts are constantly negative and giving us the wrong message. In ACT we use mindfulness to see beyond our thoughts and feelings. We use our values to guide and motivate us.

What would you like your tombstone to say about you? This is an ACT exercise to help determine your values and the direction you want your life to take.
