karma and social anxiety

Traditionally this type of selfless action is called, Karma Yoga. It is a form of giving whereby you are not attached to the fruit of your actions. Your actions are not for your own personal benefit or for receiving anything in return. It is a sacrifice of self, time and effort for others and God. Although the actions are performed without any attachment to their fruit, you are gaining tremendous spiritual wealth and happiness that is not subject to desires that come and go.

I think being anxious or having SA makes one appear to be cold or distant, so of course this is all that people see. They assume you don't like them or want to talk to them, but of course just the opposite is usually true. One is probably a very nice person, but people can't perceive that from the hard exterior that SA creates. {responging to Leah's first post} I like the Karma idea though Freestyle. I don't see karma as in 'good' or 'bad', but rather as a means of creating 'natural balance'...like you said, everything has a natural and equal reaction, and it's accordingly.
