Is your SA going to keep you from voting this year?

I forgot to apply for an absentee ballot and now it's too late. So it looks like if I wanna vote, I'm gonna have to go down to a polling station :/

I'm pretty fickle, so I guess I'll wait and see what kind of mood i'm in on the 4th and take it from there.

How about you?

If they sent you something, you most likely registered successfully. But if you wanna double check, I'm pretty sure you have to go into the DMV. There isn't any way to check online, as far as I know.

I voted Oct 20 something, and you guys it is NOT BAD. I was the only person under 40 there. This really nice lady in front of me started conversation and she was really sweet. I am almost positive she voted for some one else than me. But at least its not bad at ALL... dnt let SA keep you back. This is an opinion you can have u dont have to do public speaking on ;)

Plus, what a historical election to be a part of. It was my first time voting- and i am so ready to see who wins!!!!

I've been voting absentee for a few years, but it's not hard if you have to go in, nobody there is going to try to make conversation.

Check here to see if you're registered: http://www.canivote.org/

It looks like you may be able to email your county elections office to avoid any need to talk on the phone or go somewhere.

Well that sounds terrifying, but it never happened to me in the 5 or so elections where I went in person. She's the exception, not the rule.

We're having an election in New Zealand this week to. I always go out to vote, they have this good system where they send you a card with your name on it. You just show it to the person they use the card to look up your name then hand you a voting paper. Last time it went so smooth I think the only thing I had to say was thank you.

I voted early in the clerk's office, and it was a bit awkward, but it was totally worth it. I cast my ballot for our first black president, I took part in history.
