Is this a hint? I can't tell.

I sometimes think people are trying to give me a hint but I can't tell. Like they'll mention someplace they're going and ask me if I've ever been there. Or they'll ask me if I like a certain band and mention that they want to go see them in concert. Are these hints that they want me to go with them? I wonder if I'm missing subtle social cues. It's hard for me to tell.
If it is a hint, what should I say?
I usually just say something like "oh, that's cool," and thats it. But it doesn't go anywhere. HELP PLEASE!

I'm the same way brother.
My advice to you is when you encounter a situation like that, try and keep the conversation going and reverse it on the person asking you.

Them: "Have you ever seen Metallica in concert?"
You: "Nah I haven't, I've always wanted to though. Have you ever seen them?"

This changes the pressure from you to ask the question, to them.
Practice makes perfect my friend.

Yes, these are signals. Talk to them! They're waiting to see if your interested. If you just say "oh, that's cool" they take that to mean your not interested.

It doesn't sound like they're hinting that they want you to go with them, but it does sound like they are trying to find something your interested in to talk to you about.
Basically they are showing an interest in what you like, and then talking about what they like to, hoping for a response from you.

Just sound interested, even if you aren't. :)
