Is anyone else an only child and blames this on SP

Im an only child and have had a problem with it since i can rememebr
i use to write notes to god asking for a sister or brother when i was like , i think this is my fault cus now i still seem to have a real tough time dealing with it, iv written to maagzines and on thenet for other people like me
BUt theres really not many, i would love to call someone sister even if they arent my real sibling=[

yea I wish I wasn't an only child.. or had like a cousin my age. All my cousins are much younger than me.

Hmm I tend to think differently. If you are an only child, you would tend to go out, and open yourself to strangers to find more friends, instead of keeping to the confines of your family.

I think it is paranoid or over protecting parents that cause SP. Like the ones who think all strangers are bad people who shouldn't be talked to as a child. Like the ones who won't let you go out without supervision, or won't let you go to a party, or keep an excessively close eye on any friendships.

Unlike probably everyone here, it seems, my SA/Phobia wasn't "caused" by anything. I am an only child, but know this had nothing to do with it. I believe I was born with it. Throughout my childhood, I had cousins, & others my age staying with us, so I wasn't isolated from other children. I've just always been this way. I. personally, love being an only child. The only problem is that, if I choose to have kids someday, they won't have any aunts or uncles... on my side of the family, at least.

I grew up as an only child too, all my half-siblings and cousins are much much older than me.

I have many times thought that could be the reason for my SA. It certainly made me feel lonely.
But I think I was prolly born with it too, I guess some people are "doomed" to get a higher level of anxiety in life than others...
