I think I've gotten better

I've been a lurker for awhile. Decided to post something that has been on my mind. A few nights ago I had to attend a school meeting. Well, I came in late. I decided to sit way in the back because I didn't want to catch a lot of attention. There was a short break. The teachers were going around handling snacks. I sat way in the back, so one of the professors ask me why I sat so far away.
If that happen in the past, I know I woulnd't know what to say. Well I told her I came late, and smiled. She smiled, so did the other students. I felt really great after that. However, I think it wasn't right for her to asked me that. Kind of single me out. I also notice other teachers that did this in the past to other students.

Hello and welcome to the forum whatshappening :) It's great to hear that you feel you are improving and thought of something to say in that situation.:)

I think that's great, not only did you challenge yourself but then somebody put you on the spot and you came out smiling. Hahaha brilliantly done!

baby steps - that's all I can say. Take it slow and always try to improve your SA by confronting more of your fears...
