I need quick help

My room-mate decided to call up our landlord last night to cancel our lease, at the same time she got him to make a one-bedroom available for her right away. We were then given one week to vacate (have to be out by March 1st).

Since she isn't allowed to do this without my consent, and since I want to stay here, I have to call the landlord. Even if I can't stay I am entitled to 2 months notice before I have to leave, so I have time to actually find a new place.

What I need help with is, well, the courage to actually call the landlord. Any encouraging words or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If I was doing something like this I would do it quickly so I didn't have time to think about it too much. I hate phone calls so just plan what I need to say then get it over with.
