i need advice!

My psychiatrist prescribed for me Xanax, 1mg a day.But my simptoms
of anxiety are still very high. Could i take more, 1.5mg because i have
next appointment in about 5 weeks!I dont know what to do, i think this
dose is not high enough!

Well, I'm not sure you should modify the dose without the dr's consultation... Xanax can make the addiction, I don't know if in 5 weeks, but it's uncertain.

It's not the highest prescribed dose, but on the other hand I've only occasional experience with this cure. Maybe somebody else will know better here.

Just call the doctor to see if they feel you should up the dosage by increasing more at once or adding another dose at a later time in the day
