i live inside my mind

Here i am inside my mind
its the only place that i feel safe
i dont want to deal with the real world
because the real worlds a horrible place
its quiet here and the pain doesnt exist
inside my mind is a place i cant resist
on the outside is anxiety and pain
i dont want to go out theyre again
social phobia is not normal they say
yet we deal with it every day
so what is normal anyway
normal is a word people just love to say
so they can show theyre better than us in theyre own way
well if normal is this world today
then inside my mind ill stay
at least until they can find a better way
for me to to come out and play

The unwritten rules in human society are often completely rotten. If we play according to them, we´re seen as normal and "healthy". If not, we´re seen as ill because we don´t fit in. It looks like it´s normal for "normal" people to be hypocrites and the people who want to be fair and honest are crazy. (Sorry if this is a bit simplified but unfortunately from my experience it is so).

You know what I've noticed? That bad things do happen inside my mind, actually they happen a lot. The only difference is I can fix it. In the real world I'm helpless. Inside, I have control.
