I don't understand

I don't understand why some people are scare to talk to the opposite sex when they are in a relationship.

For example: A female doesn't talk to her "male friends" when she is in a relationship. But when she isn't, it seems that she always talk to them.

By the way, I'm talking about my mom.

Maybe afraid she'll make her partner jelouse if she does.....which I think is a bad sign about the partner. I think it's okay to not talk to friends of the opposite sex alone...I dont.

the thing is... she has male friends. I'm not saying she shouldn't have any.
