I am so bored

It's sunday noon and it's raining still
Oh goody yay! There's time to kill
Now I'm staring hard at all my bills
I'm all alone and oh what thrills!

I logged on chat to chat a bit
I said hello but none to greet
So looked outside to my empty street
Then searched my fridge but naught to eat

And I lay a while perchance to dream
Then memories rile in an anguished stream
Like ghosts that haunt with a mocking grin
And mock and taunt, so wake to scream

I phoned my friends but do you not know?
Who joins in laughter and in sorrow go?
So a furious pacing now to and fro
And a nervous laughing but who to know?

So I'd thought to kill some time with these
IQ tests! Oh what joyful bliss!
Borderline genius, thou art most blessed?
Borderline madness, thou art most messed

So I thought to go to the nearby mall
Now couples march all smiles and all
I took my cellphone but there's none to call
So stood and turned and left the mall

It's sunday noon and there's time to kill
It's sunday noon and these times do kill
It's raining still but I'm standing still
The dripping shrill but I'm standing still

I wanted to make a funny poem... But these things have their own minds sometimes...

i like your poem, it has a nice flow to it and it comes around full circle.
it reminds me of when i was in college and could walk to a mall near by (it wasn't a very busy mall needless to say)... i would sit and eat alone in the food court.... and if i talked to my mom later in the week, i'd be like "oh yeah, I went shopping with my friends"

Glad you liked it.

Hmmm... Maybe life will come full circle as well... And we can return to the best days of our memories. No one knows the future...

I'm not sure where to post this... but this seems as good a place as any. Just feeling very down due to some things. I'd thought to leave for good... but well... I guess... I'd have to post some of my thoughts somewhere... Sorry. Usually I write something positive. I just don't feel particularly positive now.

Wishing again
Waiting again
Wasting again
Alone again

A grain of hope
And so blindly grope
Again a hope
Again in vain

Too much, too sane
So alone, again
Too much in vain
So in pain, again

And have you seen the train?
Again I ask, have you seen the train?
They are all aboard the moving train
So alas, the maimed, alone again

The busy people aboard the train
The graying man alone again
He paused to speak, ignored again
And the busy people aboard the train

He tried to paint that busy train
But the pouring rain, in vain again
So wash away and watch in vain
And again I paint whilst alone again...

One of those days...

Crashing waves and the winds that blow
Crash and billow the weeping willow
Hit and beat, so how to grow?
It bends and bends and so bow low

And when it's time for the sea to go
And winter's coming and it's pouring snow
Then through the snow, this weeping willow
For it does know of the spring tomorrow

Ice in thawing and springs in flowing
Then once weeping and now in growing
Then would you not know?
Of the one once brought low?
That now does grow
Who, but the weeping willow

Be who you are
The steadfast star
That shines near and far
And so let nothing bar

Are you afraid?
That you aren't as great?
And so wait to live
And so live to wait

Would you then give weight?
To those who causing grief
Mind them not, for they matter not
But mind they ought... Who minded not

Hey... I hope you won't mind... My mind is kind of flowing now... And I'm feeling down... Rhyming helps.

Btw, thanks all for the compliments... I just write poetry since it helps jot down what I feel.

The college walk to the nearby mall
Where happy people standing tall
They talk and talk and laughed and all
And I watched it all in that nearby mall

Unknown, alone save for her ice-cream cone
She slows, she goes but not one who knows
She thought to call as she passed the stall
She stalled and stalled and gave up the call

So goodbye the mall and at home again
And the question asked once more again
"So how did it go?"
And an answer plain
"Shopping with friends again"
The raindrops in the rain again

i don't mind at all, i'm glad i can be of creative service.:) college wasn't my favorite time- before i went everyone in my family was like you'll have so much fun, it'll will be a great experience!! never in my life did i feel so alone than being on a campus surrounded by hundreds/thousands of people. i think they were all on that "moving train" you mentioned in a previous poem. keep up the good work!

HIGH SCHOOL BULLY

A nudge, a punch, a choke
It's all just a little joke
On that little awkward bloke
Who seems just a little broke

Feeling entitled and so belittle
The little bloke who's ready to crumble
Don't you know the kings of this little world?
And it's a rough ride, so rumble and tumble

Tumbler tumbling
Now stumbler stumbling
Push the tumbler too hard
Ignition, boom, apart

Does the bully know?
Or will he never grow?
Now off into the world unknown
And goodbye the little High School throne

Kept to his ways so fell disgraced
Full circle, such are the cycles
And would the little bloke help the one disgraced?
Or leave him to perish in his rage?

So Humpty Dumpty once sat on the wall
And Humpty Dumpty had a great fall...
All the King's horses and all the King's men
Had gone on and forgotten
But the little blokes remember Humpty
Humpty Dumpty who once sat on the wall

HAVE YOU EVER...

Have you ever heard a rhyme sublime?
In time, in place, in grace, a chime
That waits to unfold
That speaks to the soul

Have you strove and endured
And in the end fell short?
When you had given it your all
And it was a long long fall

Have you ever cried
Till your tears are dried?
And they were asking why
And you but deny

And have you ever tried
To ride the ride?
Then life leaves you tried
And you hide your hide

Ever reached the bitter end?
And you reached out a hand
And you wished for a friend
And found no one at the end

Have you ever seen a cloud?
And wondered silent or aloud
Where is it wandering?
And you stood still wondering

Have you wandered into wonder?
That little meadow that lies yonder
And it all came apart
But you preserved a little shard

Have you ever had a dream
You were so sure was real?
And you woke with a scream
Cause the real world is real

Have you loved and lost?
Have you loved but lost?
Have you loved when lost?
Have you loved the lost?

Have you ever told your story
To somebody you see
But it's plain that nobody
That nobody could see

Have you felt like the words
Of every book you've read
And you felt like your words
Are the one binding thread

Have you wrote a poem and the poem wrote you?
Have you sang a song and the song sang you?
Have you ever painted and the painting painted you?
Have you wrote a story and the story wrote you?

You sang and rhymed, painted and wrote
They sang and rhymed, painted and wrote
So forever after in the soul, the home
So have you ever found the way home?
