Hyperthyroidism causing hyperhidrosis

excessive sweating was listed as one of the symptoms for excessive sweating. has anyone been cured of their hyperhydrosis after treating hyperthyroidism?

I know you didn't mean to say excessive sweating may be a symptom of excessive sweating. What did you mean to say?

I am actually LOW thyroid, and have been on Synthroid for about 10 years. So who knows?

Oh, I meant to say sweating was a symptom of hyperthyroidism

When I developed HH, I wondered if hyperthyroidism was causing it. But I got tested and don't have hyperthyroidism. So something else is causing my HH.

But I know that hyperthyroidism may cause HH for some people

yeah i got tested too, normal thyroid levels as well.

Hyperthyoidism as a cause of HH usually presents as generalised HH, ie. sweat everywhere. May also sweat during sleep, as compared to primary HH- that is, HH that is focal- namely hands, feet, and or - including underarms.
The caveat is that hyperthyroidism may make primary HH worse....
