Hyperhidrosis face, anyone?

Hi guys!!!!

Hi sweat like anything if the temp is above 25 degree C while people around me are dry. Its very embarassing as you can understand. Also i'll be getting married in April in a hot climate and i'm already panicking. I'm thinking about the Botox treatment for the face. Did anybody had this treatment done for face? Any idea if its done in Norway?

Can't answer about the Botox, though I don't think it always works. Myself and several others have had success using glycopyrrolate capsules for cranio-facial HH. Brand names are Robinul in U.S., Avert in Canada. Don't know about availability in Norway.

Congradulations on getting married Shum, I don't have sweat problems but I wouldn't worry man, it's your wedding and it will be the best day of your life and I'm sure your wife accepts you for who you are so it really shouldn't matter. I guess I don't know, but try to keep your head up and bring a rag lol.

Awww thanks!!! But i'm a girl.. and i need to put on makeup on my wedding day. How would that be possible with the dripping sweat.. see?

Yeah, I know about the dripping face. Avert dries me out quite well--I'm trying to live with a little sweat, but on a special day, I'd take more.

You should know that taking glycco can produce a dry mouth. I'm happy to trade the pouring sweat for this, but some people really hate it.

Like all HH treatments, it's different for each person.

I'd start taking it more than a week ahead--remember this stuff doesn't build up (that's why you need to take it regularly). So, I'd suggest starting a few weeks ahead--see what works best, so you can be ready on your special day.

On days when HH is likely to be a problem (hot weather, exercise) I take 6 mg first thing in the morning. It would be unusual for me to take/need more for the day.

The one other thing to do is to take glycco a good hour before you eat. You can also wait for two hours after, but that can be hard to remember, and takes you well into the day.

Have you tried blot papers? I don't know if you have them in Norway, but Clean and Clear has these oil absorbing sheets you just blot them on your face, they don't even take off make up. If you sweat really bad you may have to use more than one, and quite often. But they're still really handy!

Do you take 6mg all together at one go? Whats the maximum dose i can take, could be as high as 10 mg?
