how does one ask about transfering in work

I dislike my job, however the pay is great for a grocery store. People transfer stores sometimes, and I want to ask to transfer. I'm just afraid because i'm not moving, so they might say no? It's because of personal relationship reasons. I don't know how to ask? This has to be done or I will quit and not have a job

That's very tricky. You could pretend to have moved and use a friends address as your new residence. If that doesn't work, since you have nothing to lose anyway, you can bring up what is bothering you. That is, if it's not too personal.
