How do you tell someone your "depressed?"

I don't need to go into detail with you all of why I am currently, but I feel like I can't even say the word "depressed" to anyone. I don't want to cause people to generate that feeling of "Oh great, here we go again."

I mean what form of words should I say to one if they ask me what is wrong?
