how do you do ionto by yourself

i have the fischer md1a machine

i know it was in the manual but i lost it... can i have both of my hands in the water and turn the knob with my feet? or am i going to create some circuit thats gonna fry the machine? :roll:

I turn the dial with my foot, when I do a treatment on my hands. Nothing's happened so far, so I guess it's okay :]
