How do you deal with invites to parties, weddings etc?

I hate family gatherings, especially other people's families. I feel like sore thumb sticking out, damned if I talk damned if I don't talk.

Your brother sounds like he is immature or bears a grudge. At least your parents think of you.

I don't like them either.. at least not like I used to. I don't mind being around my sister cause she occasionally makes an attempt to say something to me, but she usually has her kids to deal with anyway. My parents don't think that much of me either honestly. My dad has called me useless and now ignores me, I dunno about my mom.. she ain't ever lent a hand of help so... blah.
