basically just focus on being in the present, and stay out of your own head
 
I usually just start fiddling around with my phone. Play a word game. It helps keep me from thinking that people are paying attention to me and it keeps me from fidgeting. Without my phone I tend to over do my 'normal' actions and may become overly focused...

No offence but if you care what other people think of you doing, You're always going to be looking down instead of ahead. It's your life, Who cares what others think.

Though I'm conscious of myself doing it here and there aswell..

I think it's why I don't talk a lot in conversations also. /Shrugs.
