Oh, I'm trying to get back into making art again, since I haven't done much of that since dropping out of high school. It's just the not knowing where to start, seeing that blank sheet of paper or canvas seems to make my mind go blank too.

I can relate, happens to me all the time when I try to write something new. One thing that helps me if I can't think of something is taking my mind off it for a while and try again later. I agree with Beleza, you can start with doodles and might come with something great

Meeting people / joining a club; I don´t think I´m able to do that, sadly, I get too nervous, quiet, shaking, and it´just too painful for me being in that nervous awkward state. Plus people tend to not accept me when I´m like that. They look at me like I´m the weirdest thing.

I understand, anxiety is very hard to deal with. But don't be too hard on yourself because of this. Meeting people while being anxious is very difficult and it must be done by doing little exposures over time.

I think I will, yes. My brother lived/worked in A Coruña, some years ago. We are going to stay in a house he can borrow for free, it´s in Baiona.

Hi Graeme. What methods have you tried? You know it's hard to brainstorm or think of things sometimes looking at paper. Free writing could help because when you free write with no censorship things can just flow and everything that comes to mind is fair game. Or you can start off with doodles and have fun with the doodles and you may get a larger idea.

None, really. It's been more the stream of consciousness method. Just going with the flow, and trying to take thought out of what I'm doing. That could be due to my interest in the surrealist art movement. Free writing might help, though. And my sister did actually also suggest just doddling around to begin with, or then try sketching out a rough idea. Not sure what method would be best, though? Since they are both useful to the creative process.

Hahaha! That´s bizarre.
I´ve just been to the u.s. once, for 2 days, so I didn´t see a lot, but I did notice that everything is somehow very "large" overthere, seriously. I mean the size of beds, tv´s, meals, desserts, shops, landscapes, queues, houses. I wonder if americans are actually aware that things there are larger than in the rest of the world?

That is awesome! I went to A Coruña two weeks ago and loved it...You are lucky!

As for Americans not knowing that everything is huge over there....I didn't realize how big everything was until I moved to Europe...hahaha

Done! Was quite unpleasant in the hospital, especially at the day of the surgery but today I went home and the leg seems it should be OK, of course it still hurts but it did hurt before as well so I´m used to it. But it´s not bad to be able to walk right the day after the surgery is it. I hope I am not going to damage it somehow.

I hate saying this but I actually miss wal-mart.....especially when I am hungry in the middle of the night or run out of tobacco.....good old Wal-Mart was always there for me in those situations...hahaha

Yea, even though there's always a bunch of crazy going on at WallyWorld, they have the stuff I want at the lowest prices! Yet, somehow I always end up spending too much there!
