Hello, I'm a newbie. I came across this site when I was doing a Google search and I couldn't help but join. Lots of interesting topics on here that I can relate to very well!!
A bit about me:
I'm fairly creative but a bit shyish. I can't say I'm super shy, though I used to be. But I do have problems socializing and making friends, in general. And the weird thing is that I can be quite the talkative and social person, esp. in a one-on-one situation, or a very small group of people. But sometimes it's hard for me to find a common ground with regular people, as their interests just don't seem to match mine. Or if I dare not like such-&-such popular thing, then suddenly I'm the 'odd man out'. I think it's just a communication barrier thing with me. Breaking the ice is difficult for me at times.
Thankfully I (finally) do have a boyfriend. Before him, I was single forever and never really dated. But he's really opened up a whole new world to me, and taught me things I never knew before. I guess relationships will do that,
He's also been helpful in introducing me to people, and helping me with socializing. Still, I wish to make more friends. I don't want to just solely rely on him.
Anyway...there's my life. Glad to be around others with the same problems.
