Helping the Community

In this last month I have signed up to Greenpeace, Worldvision, Redcross, and given some homeless guy all my lunch money.

I turned 18 this year and I'm finding that I keep getting targeted by all these sales people on the street. They jump out from nowhere and ask questions like "do you care about the dolphins?"

I don't want to sign up to these things but I just can't say no.

How do I deal with these people?

It's easier to say no if you remember that these guys are just doing their job. After a couple of hours of dogging people on the streets, they tend to lose focus on why they're actually doing it. If you keep that in mind, it shouldn't be harder to turn these people down than to say no to a Jehova's Witness.

I can't help you with the homeless guy, though, but it seems like you did a good deed.
