I am 27 y/o and suffering a great OCD growing every day. I am at a psychologist and taking meds but no results...I am near to not to go out of my house because of fearings.

I have heard(as a last hope) about meditation. Has any one experienced any useful meditation method for controling OCD? Thanks

I don't know if this helps but, most of the time this works for me.
Try to concentrate only on ur breathing. Deeply inhale, exhale. After some time u'll notice that ur breathing has become calm and slow. Now try to visualize something peacefull. I visualize that Im sitting inside a waterfall in the mountains. . Just keep breathing and keep your mind calm. As you breathe out let go of all your troubles and negativity. As you breath in you bring in peace. After awhile u'll feel like ur getting close to something, like ur almost there. Keep concentrating.. and take off~~ feel stillness, peace, and happiness. :p
Hope this helps!

Not yet.....
But so far Prozac is the only thing that remotely helps me.

Only way to over come the fear is to practice.
It took me 2 months to cross the wooden
floor in our kitchen, But I did it.

Meditation method for Ocd and phobias

Any meditation can be helpful to certain extent because it helps you detach from the mind(which is the source of all obsessions and phobias)But much better is a meditation technique which involves catharsis.(letting out all your feelings, rage, fears etc) The way I do it is by finding a private place where I don't disturb anyone, and where I won't be interrupted for an hour and start talking gibberish.(nonsense words or like a foreign language you don't understand)I do it forcefully and include body movements and gestures. I start expressing anger, rage at the universe, shout and scream, even punch a pillow-go totally mad, whil;e continuing to say the nonsense words-using them as a kind of 'carrier'for all my feelings. After half an hour of full blast expression,I lie down on a soft surface for half an hour,on my belly, and be quiet and still, and just watch my thoughts and feelings without judgement. If you can be still for half an hour and not get too carried away by the thoughts(it takes practice)it can be incredibly helpful-I know it. The more total and forceful(without hurting yourself)you can be,the more deep and silent the still period will be. I'm sure if you do this regularly, you will see your problems melt away. Good luck!
