Hello i live in Sydney Australia...and have dealt with social anxiety for to many years i can remember....major depression and GAD have also held sway at times...i mask my S.A. with lots of exercise running and cycling are just a few...i think i am very fortunate for my fitness ...but they are solitary exercises ....most people tell me to become a fitness trainer...i use fitness to get through a day..the aloness within is crippling for me...but i am so grateful to have read just a few stories of some remarkable people on here, and i congratulate to all ...who can get through another day inspirational... and thankyou i feel quite humble as i read those personal and at times heartbreaking stories...so its a big hello from down under...feel free to ..pm ..me at anytime ...good health to all paddo

hey Paddo! :D

yeah i'm an aussie too... but my SA is only in the early stages so i haven't found a way to cure it or even just tame it a lil bit... :( my counsellour says i have alot in my 'psyche' so i have alot to let go of... my life started going downhill when i got acne... you can imagine how much that hurt my pride, and i became more and more shy and introverted over the years... :? and my SA did't start until i hit high school... it's terrible.

on a brighter note, i'm happy that you found ways to make yourself feel better, being active. i'm sooo lethargic... maybe i should try exercising? 8) before i become agoraphobic...

i wish you good luck and peace. :) cya!
