having people mad at you?

First of all, I don't even know if I have SP, I think right now I'm too young to tell, but I have a question for everyone with it.

Do you /have/ to live with everyone you know liking you? Or are you able to manage fine with people not liking you?
Personally I have to have everybody I know be on good terms with me, but I feel like I'm the only one - anyone else feel like this?

Thanks

First do you think you have social phobia - are you really afraid of people?
It's not too young to tell if you do. Well I was labelled as the quiet kid since grade 3. They call it selective mutism but that's the same thing as sp.
In regard to your question. I think everyone wants other people to like them and get along with them. So yeah I avoid making enemies.

may be you have avoidant personality disorder. I also want to be on good terms with everybody, and if it doesn't happen it does disappoint me.

I think I've just accepted the fact that I'm plain fucking different...

Not by choice, of course; out of necessity. I don't get people and they don't get me. I still get the disappointment twinge when something doesn't go right, though, or if I think I've made an ass of myself in public -- i think everyone gets that -- but it's not hurting me as much as it used to. Maybe I'm becoming desensitized as time goes on; maybe I now just expect to be rejected by people when I meet them. Don't know. But either way, it hurts less now then it has done in the past. Whether or not that's a good thing is a topic for another day...

if it's someone that plain doesn' tlike me (like an old assistant manager i used to have) then i might have a little fun with it. kill em with kindness kind of thing. i can be a bitch. but if they're mad, i try and find out if i was the cause and what happened, work it out.
