im studying web design at uni where the criterea is just hilarious, they dont even teach the essentials and its more software orientated but you can teach yourself anyway right... the resources are all over the net to learn about, i have a couple of websites in the works i just need to learn about flash and increase my design skills, my SA has affected my work rate over this year so im trying to catch up on all the work :?

there are lots of web designers around here.

Are you interested in web design?

If you have the will there a lot of free lance work out there and it's not that hard to teach your self the basics.

Im also studying web design at uni my course is the same they seem to teach you additional but pointless stuff you dont need.

Sometimes web design is frustrating but it rewarding seeing it all come together :)

I have done some web design at work, but mainly I do web development, ie using ASP and Javascript to create functional web sites like net shops, etc... I would like to do more design, but the labour market here is terrible. Few jobs for web designers, everyone wants coders.

I do it, I work at home for myself 8) I do php mostly and do design but would take a php job over design anyday.

I have been for eight years now. I know HTML, Javascript, PHP,
SQL etc. I was hoping to get work. I went on work experience, but found it too overwhelming, so I had to leave.

Ideally, I want to code at home in a freelance capacity and not have to meet any one face to face. Does any one know of jobs like that?

I was curious about it, how is it?

I'm a web developer and have been for about 9 years now. Did you have specific questions about the job? I work in a graphics department of a company with one other web developer and about 6 graphic designers.

This might help, if your mature age then you have a high chance of being accepted into a course and you dont need to know alot but its always helpful to research the subject criteria before you start, just research the basics of HTML/XML/JavaScript/CSS, it takes time but once you get some momentum youll probably enjoy it, in my course these websites are always used as a reference to code
