It took me a week to finish the book. I'm sad that the series it at an end, but I was happy with the overall outcome.
I was glad that Snape turned out to be good. I think Alan Rickman plays him very well in the films. The body count was higher than the previous books- Hedwig, Mad Eye Moody, Dobby, Fred, Lupin, Tonks, Snape, Colin Creevy, but at least Voldemort was destroyed.
I think I would of perhaps liked Hogwarts to have featured a bit more, but I loved the way Rowling put in so many twists and near escapes for Harry- Gringotts, Malfoy Mansion.
Can't wait for the film now (albeit at least 2 & 1/2 years away!). The near escapes and battle scenes should be superb.
Were you happy with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?
