i'm sooo bad at sports and everyone knows. everyone thinks im a loser and i can never catch the ball so everyone stops throwing it to me after they find out. its so horrible. its funny and horrible. and like when my gym teacher tells us to partner up noone wants to be my partner. i'm always stuck with this kid whos mentally retarded becuz no one wants to be with him so my teacher says hey who doesnt have a partner and everyone looks at me when i raised my hand and he goes ok u go with him *points at the mentally retarded guy. its so horrible.... it makes me so depressed and sad that i lose all will to play sports. so i just wander after the ball and no one passes it to me even if im right next to the goal or anything. i wish theres some way for me to get out of gym class forever becuz after this year i dont have to take it anymore. just 3 more months of gym do u guys have ideas like faking a doctors note that can get me outta gym for 3 months....i wish my parents are doctors geez. i want to get an A but i dont wanna do gym....

ah, I used to be the same way in gym class- the unpopular kid who was always chosen last.
not that I am retarded but I would team up with the mentally retarded friend just to be a rebel against everyone's elses retarded standards. Poor retarded person :(

The person that you call retarded – is he just a little slow? I was in a normal class in high school and I later ended up meeting other kids in a special education class. They were great people! They were the ones I hung around with during lunch (not in the dreaded lunchroom, of course!). They didn’t label me or think bad about me. They were just regular people. What grade are you in? At least in high school, you don’t have to take a gym class throughout your entire school years. I got rid of that mess as soon as I learned that. The gym teacher and the jocks could all go shower together for all I cared. I really don’t see a need for gym. Can your parents talk to the school in order to get you out of the class and into something worthwhile? What about your counselor?

Lmao, I feel the same exact way. Gym class really sucks. It puts you right on the spot. There was a time I was in gym, and we had to race on this track thing with like 50 ppl watching everyone. I seriously almost cried. But really, everybody else has to do the same thing you're doing, so why be all that embarrassed.

u r lucky

Man, in india , in school v dont even have such facilities , just a play ground, v hv to devote full time to studies, u r lucky !!!1

The thing I hate most about sports in school is the partner-up thing. I never really know who to partner up with and feel quite alone. I can see that it's all worse when your not so talented at sport, but are you really the only one?

It's the legal requirement in schools here in the UK to have at least 2 hours of P.E. (Physical "Education") a week. Even if you don't choose it for G.C.S.E, you're still supposed to do it.
My school sucks, so one P.E. hour was pushed out of the timetable for other subjects, so we only have 1 hour. Anyhue. Even though i'm completely rubbish at sports i enjoy doing it, even though i'm always picked last and i never have a partner. I guess i just like the thought that i'm getting excercize, and it's kinda nice to be away from lessons, and being stuck in the same place surrounded by nasty people.
All the "emo" and "chav" people never do it anyway, "forgetting" their kit or whathaveyou. Most people do in fact, it's some sort of trend that they follow. That it's uncool to do P.E. Lazy idiots. D:

I look like a ragdoll when i run, my arms and legs flying everywhere. >w<

I always hated PE class. I just sucked so bad at sports that I always get blamed when the team loses... and nobody wanted me on the team... Sometimes all this blaming and having me as a scapegoat turned violent... damn I had to fight. Wish I didnt have to but I had to.

I was very good at gymnastics! I managed to learn to do a backflip pretty quick but onetime I had an accident and the teacher went crazy and shouted at the class with me infront of them all saying this is your fault for distracting me... then gave them detention... wernt very fair on me because it looked like my fault they got detention for my accident.

Was also good at running.

BUT anything with a ball and I was rubbish, miss the ball all the time. we always did rugby to and i used to bunk it same with football... any ball games i just never showed up because i was scared of the ball

Oh yes good old gym class :( .I always hated gym class. The whole picking teams has to be one of the embarrassing experiences I had in early school.Always being the last guy picked and knowing neither team wanted to get stuck with me.

Later on I just started skipping gym class all together.

i kno how you feel except i am fortunate enough to be in group of friends who all detest sports
we all find it funny that ne1 can eva get into something like gym so w just stand around talking and are constantly getting told off
i like gym because its an excuse not to work
you are obviosly less fortunate but i suggest that you try to get to kno the person you always get paired up with
he probably feels exactly the same way as you
why have 2 depressed people when you can be happy together?
just make gym class into a joke
you have better things to worry about than throwing a ball around - whats the point?
this is the one lesson in the week where you dont have to work. try asking the kid to be your partner one day rather than having to be put together. this will probably make his day and give you some common ground. instead of feeling rejected you can talk to eaqchother about your hate of gym. ask him why he hates it and stuff.
hope it works, emily

Just find a nice, understanding doctor...I know that's not easy to do...but lucky for me when I was a kid, my mom was friends with a really nice doctor(my mom works in the pharmacy) and one day I came home crying because in gym everybody made fun of me because I couldn't run fast(it's like I get out of breath fast if I run or something...I cant do it)...and I could never play any of the stupid sports...they never interested me so I guess I didn't really try too hard, but I tried a little and if I missed, everybody would laugh at me or say stupid things to/about me...so my mom went to her doctor friend and asked him if he could get me out of gym, and it worked...he wrote me a note, and instead of playing sports and running and stuff, I got to write 5 pages a day about sports/exercising, etc...I basically just wrote the same crap over & over since I know nothing about that stuff, and I knew the gym teacher wouldn't read it anyway. So I got an A in that class just by writing.
