Google Tech Talks: Neuroscience links, and summary

Lately at work I've been listening to some Google Tech Talk videos. I think they might help give further understanding into how our brains and minds work.

They all have the theme that the brain and mind are plastic and malleable.

Quick Suggestion: Breathe! Seriously, start to breathe in, but FOCUS on your breathing. As he says, be aware of being aware. By doing this repeatedly, you can 'rewire' your brain. Watch to learn why and how.

This sounds like eastern religion and voodoo, however they are finding some interesting, replicable results. In short, the results are simple biology.
The down side is it takes time and practice.

Note: This guy's talk was more touchy feely. I didn't personally like it as it didn't seem to contain a lot of data and scientific rigor, but the ideas were decent.

My personal favorite, though I don't think the speaker is a researcher himself. Explained a bit how the brain works socially.

I hope you all learn something. What I learned was some simple techniques to basically 'work' out my brain. We'll see if it works in a few months, but I've nothing to lose.
