Going to the tropical diseases unit..

I am going to the tropical diseases department next week to see about an infection I picked up in Asia. The infection is on my foot and I have MAJOR sweaty feet (I am sure they will be dripping with beads of sweat because I will be extra nervous and uptight about it). If it was a GP or a derm doctor, I would be a bit more comfortable because I am sure they have dealt with sweat before! However, these doctors will have to handle my sweaty feet and will probably find it disgusting.

What can I do? Is there anything I can do?

Yeah, I dont know how they do it. Im going to be a doctor but not a medical one because I cant stand to touch some people. Everyone I'm going to treat is going to be fully clothed and Im not going to be touching any of my patients.

Yeah some docs have to bathe patients and even handle their bathroom duties too.

I think they usually leave this kind of dirty work to the nurses... but I guess some might do it themselves. Doctors are used to seeing anything and everything though, so I wouldn't worry too much about this particular issue. However, a few years ago, I had a bad staph infection and the nurses treated me like I had the plague... but you really shouldn't care what they might be thinking of you- they are there to help you, end of story.
