Getting to know you all...

Theres plenty of talk of social phobia on this site (as it should be I guess), but I'd also like to get to know you all, make a few friends and stuff.

So tell me a little about yourselves. Lets make this place a little less doom and gloom and a little more friendly chatter and laughs.

Why?

This is the place I come to let all my gutts out. I do not know of too many people with SA who feel too happy about it.

No harm inteded, just venting my frustations.

I was not trying to be nasty with my answer above. I guess that it would be nice to get to know you guys, but I am taking one step at a time. After all, I am a SP. That makes me a little hesitant to open up to others. It took me a while before I summed up the courage to participate in this forum, even though I visited and read for a few months some of the information on this site.

I have often wondered how someone who was the class clown at school could end up having SA? I could joke around, play the fool in class and actually feel comfortable doing it... when it came to breaks tho i'd be sat on my own... *ponders*

so...about me:
I'm 29 and a mother of 2.
I have been with my boyfriend for almost 8 years.
I live in Manchester, UK
I don't work
I enjoy music and films
I can remember very rare occasions where SA could have been to blame as a youngster but it has affected me more in the past few years.
I like chatting online (get in touch if you fancy a natter)
I have bags of confidence... and yet no confidence at all
I like me, the person... I don't however like what (rather than who) i have become
I comfort eat

feeling similar?
