I've realized that I've become alot more awkward and anxious around girls than guys which is weird because I hear most people with social phobia say it's harder for them to talk to the opposite sex/get dates and what not. I think maybe alot of girls have this problem though because I always hear girls saying they have more male friends than female and that's the case with me as well. The couple friends i have now are guys except for a couple of females who are mainly aquaintances now. Does anyone else feel more uncomfortable around the same sex rather than opposite? And why do you think that is? For me I think it's because the few girls I became close to in the past ended up talking about me behind my back and being really catty and mean. Guys just seem nicer and easier to talk to. It sucks that I have this fear now because I know there are some really cool girls out there and i miss having female friends to talk to.
