Experiences claiming benefit....

I will probably have to make a claim for benefit in the foreseeable future, and am wondering about people's experiences claiming it.

For example, do you claim Jobseeker's Allowance or Incapacity Benefit? Is is a straightforward process or is there no end of problems? Do you disclose your SP?

The whole thought of having to go into a benefit office, and especially disclose my SP, really does freak me out.

I claim jobseekers allowance, you can get Incapacity, if your doctor will sign you off, mine wouldn't. And I think that was probably for the best. I don't exactly look forward to going up jobcenter every couple of weeks, but you are only in there a short while and only have to actually talk to someone for a few minutes.

I have told them about my problem, purely because I got fed up of them suggesting jobs, that I wouldn't be able to do, and then having to explain why every week.
