I think this might be part of the reason my hair is staying at same length. My hair is real thick like I mentioned in another post, it's kind of wavy like my dad's I would say 1b type, and i noticed that my hair is shorter at the top than it is on bottom. I don't get regular trims since my mom and dad know I want to grow out my hair. I've been discussing this issue with my counselor and she says everyone's hair grows at different speeds, but she also said that maybe when I get my hair layered that could be the problem because if it was all at one layer than it would grow in one whole length if you know what I mean. She says that if I did want long hair, my stylist would have to cut all (maybe not all) the bottom length off so that the top hair can meet up with the bottom or something like that.
